SUMMARY

Antibiotic resistance has become a serious global health problem, causing millions of deaths. In response to this crisis, bacteriophages, viruses that specifically attack bacteria, are proposed as a promising alternative to antibiotics, offering advantages such as high specificity and lower impact on the microbiome.
