PROJECT

PARTICIPANTS

The project proposal involves the development of Virtual Laboratories that reproduce the real-life environment of the biotechnology manufacturing process using Virtual Reality. This facilitates practical training for future professionals in the biotechnology sector, enabling them to repeat a process as many times as necessary without the use of consumables or access to industrial equipment, and avoiding the generation of waste.

SUMMARY

The Virtual Reality Labs project, promoted by Don Bosco CIFP (Center for the Training of Professionals), the Montilivi Institute, CEINPRO (Central Laboratory of the University of Valencia), and the company Trivima (in charge of 3D modeling), reproduces the rigorous manufacturing processes of biotechnological medicines in clean rooms in a virtual environment. This allows for safe and repeatable practical training, without the consumption of consumables or the generation of waste, while maintaining cleanliness standards and Good Manufacturing Practices.

Its objectives include developing and implementing a VR simulator for training professionals in bioproduction and Advanced Therapies; bringing these processes closer to the classroom; and fostering knowledge transfer between companies, vocational training centers, and students. It also addresses the digitalization of classrooms, the inclusion of gender criteria in 3D characters, and interdisciplinary work with the Pharmaceutical Product Manufacturing and Video Game and VR Development cycles.
